Evan turned one this week. He went from being a needy little baby, barely able to control his arms or hold his head up, to an active little boy who mows the lawn with his toy and throws food on the the floor. He went from being a little baby who could barely see mommy past his nose to calling out for his parents to pick him up in the mornings. There have been lots of changes, but some things stayed the same. Evan was born with a loud strong cry and he still has a loud audible voice... sometimes piercing. Evan was born with a mohawk and continues to grow the same hair-do. He was born a week early and he continues to wake mommy up in the early mornings. So much has happened. It's been an amazing year. We had a small family party to celebrate Evan's first year. We BBQ, ate cakes and opened presents. And after all the excitement... Evan took a much needed nap. :) On his actual birthday, we went to Chili's. Evan's parents ate a yummy chocolate molten lava cake. And then we had a little cake for Evan at home.
We feel so blessed and are so thankful to God for Evan. We're looking forward to many wonderful years together.
